Ordering food on the street has never been easier with McDonald’s. Thanks to the specially equipped Clear Channel network with voice recognition, consumers were able to order from McDonald’s where and when they wanted, without even touching a screen.
The first panels equipped with voice technology were launched in Madrid. For a week, users were able to order and have McDonald’s delivered to their homes, in the street and simply by using their voice.
The operation is very simple. To order, all they had to do was go near the billboard and say “McDonald’s” out loud. The screen displayed the different menu options and the user expressed his choice orally. To complete the order, the user then scanned a QR code with his mobile phone and entered his data.
This initiative is part of McDonald’s approach to innovation and accessibility. And it shows its commitment to technology as a fundamental tool to adapt to the needs of a consumer who demands increasingly agile, simple and secure ways to place orders at home.
A strategy that aims to bring the McDonald’s experience closer to the consumer, where and when they want it.
