An exceptional year, an exceptional award
The AMMA 2021 has an additional special award: the “Media Resilience Award”. This award recognizes the most effective and impactful media initiatives to help Belgian society cope with the Covid 19 pandemic in the year 2020. This special award was given by the final jury, assisted by an additional jury member, who is an expert actively involved in pandemic management in Belgium.
A Platform for Good
This Gold AMMA Award honors Clear Channel’s supportive role in the coronavirus crisis, from relaying informative government messages to supporting key workers and charities. With #StaySafe, Clear Channel deployed the largest OOH campaign ever, and probably one of the most seen visuals in OOH history in Belgium.
During this totally unusual year, Clear Channel demonstrated its desire to accompany cities and their stakeholders in building an inspiring ecosystem, by offering a dynamic communication strategy and a service with real added value for the benefit of citizens. The OOH media agency has played a pioneering role by making a concrete commitment to collective utility, a commitment that is now being formalized under the #PlatformForGood approach.)
Jan De Moor, Managing Director Clear Channel, concludes : « The last few months have clearly shown us that our objective – to be both a platform for brands and a platform for good – has never been more important! It has guided us every step of the way through the ups and downs of 2020. It’s all been about resilience. This award is the culmination of the unwavering investment and dedication of our teams, and I thank them again! Our ‘Creating the Future of Media’ vision has helped us through this atypical year and is perfectly positioned to contribute to the OOH renaissance in 2021 and beyond. »
Clear Channel would like to congratulate DPG Media, bpost media, Trustmedia and RTL Belgium who were also nominated for their outstanding initiatives in the “Media Resilience Award” category.
