Belgian executive has more than nine years of experience managing OOH operations in Europe
Clear Channel, one of the largest out of home media companies in the world, announces Tom Motmans as its new president for Latin America and CEO in Brazil. The Belgian executive moves to the country and, in addition to commanding the Brazilian operation, will be responsible for managing the business units in Chile, Peru, and Mexico.
Motmans carries nine years of experience in the European OOH market, one of the most evolved regions in the world in the sector. As COO of Clear Channel Europe, he was responsible for the business units in Belgium, The Netherlands, Finland, Poland, the Baltic states and Singapore. The arrival of the new CEO to Brazil reinforces the company’s plans to intensify activities in the country, seen as one of the hubs with the greatest potential for the evolution of the segment and business growth in the coming years.
During his career at Clear Channel Belgium, he led teams in important achievements, including the win of the street furniture contracts in the three main Belgian cities (Brussels, Antwerp and Ghent), the launch of the Velo bike sharing scheme in Antwerp, the first network of digital screens and the use of data to optimize campaigns on OOH media in the country. In 2016, he took over the direction of Clear Channel Netherlands, driving the business in the country back to profitability.

Prior to joining Clear Channel, Tom Motmans served as Chief Financial Officer of ECS2XL and Lyreco after starting his career at in audit and consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He holds an MBA from London Business School and Masters degrees in Applied economics and International Marketing.
